Washington County Permits

Attention Contractors:

Washington County will soon be using an online permitting portal to accept permitting applications. Contractors & applicants are now required to register in the system as a Contractor so that you will be able to submit permitting applications.  Use this link  scroll to the bottom and click on START APPLICATION under the applicable Contractor types. Please register as each type of contractor you perform work as.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO MONITOR THIS WEBSITE FOR THE DATE THAT THE PORTAL WILL BECOME ACTIVE FOR APPLICATIONS!

7/17/2026 UPDATE:  We are currently anticipating that the portal will be able to begin accepting some types of applications sometime on Monday, 7/20/2026.  Until then, you will continue to email the application to our office.

We are currently manually entering them into our new program. Once we get to the point of a payment being needed, the new program is emailing an invoice due to the contractor requesting payment through the portal. The email you receive will be from noreply@schneidergis.com.  You can apply the payment through the portal.  Once the inspector approves the application, you will again receive an email letting you know you have an approved permit.  We highly advise that you either save the approved permit or print it off. The permit will also note what inspections are required.

Please contact our office if you have any problems with this process. We will assist you with this new process as much as possible and THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE DURING THIS TRANSITION.
